About Ameen Kalani
Ameen Kalani is an accomplished intellectual property professional with over 27 years’ experience in patent practice. He has demonstrated expertise in establishing and leading IP operations, with a proven track record as a skilled communicator and business developer. He possesses comprehensive knowledge of intellectual property law and extensive experience serving clients across South-East Asian markets and beyond.
His educational background includes a Degree in Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.
In 1998, Mr. Kalani was tasked by the late Mr. Henry Goh to establish and lead the Singapore office of the prominent intellectual property firm, Henry Goh & Co in Malaysia. He successfully built the practice from inception, developing comprehensive patent, registered design and trade mark services for regional and international clients. Prior to joining Henry Goh, he practised intellectual property law within the IP department of a leading Singapore law firm, where he gained foundational experience in patent prosecution, registered design matters and IP litigation support.
Mr. Kalani maintains his Patent Agent registration, having been registered as a Patent Agent since 2003. He is a member of several professional associations including the Association of Singapore Patent Agents (ASPA), the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), and the International Trade Mark Association (INTA).
His core competencies encompass patent prosecution and portfolio management, intellectual property strategy and counselling, client relationship development and retention, business development and practice growth.
